About IIP: The Institute for Information Policy (IIP), created in fall 1997 in the College of Communication, has conducted sponsored research and self-funded programs on the social implications of information technology, with an emphasis on the potential of information technologies for improving democratic discourse, social responsibility, and quality of life since then. And now it becomes co-hosted by the School of Information Sciences and Technology.
